The history of Sond Family has created a huge impact on Sond Industries and our newer generations. The Sond family is very fortunate to have a long and colorful history; beginning in the early 1800s by our great grandparents, who served as inspectors for railway lines and farmers. Through this, we found out that technical and mechanical knowledge is in our genes.
Over four generations ago, the Sond family began its engineering legacy by building sewing machines and single stroke engines during the agricultural life of the 1800s. Since then, the Sond Family has been involved in engineering and metal machining to produce some of the world’s most intricate machined parts for a variety of industries. With over three generations of Sond family engineers, we strive to continually expand our experience and expertise to serve our international client base. Sond Industries has sailed worldwide working as freight liner machinists, repairing heavy equipment in the agriculture and construction industry across multiple continents, as well as manufacturing parts for many different industries from out two locations in Calgary and Houston.
